The International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation is a family-owned entity uniting the descendants of Patriarch Moy Yat (9GVT) from around the world, under the leadership of the Moy Family.
The federation's inaugural activity took place on July 1, 1996, when Patriarch Moy Yat announced a list of 13 senior masters to begin the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Certification Program.
On January 23, 2001, Patriarch Moy Yat passed away from natural causes, and the International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation entered a state of minimal activity, supporting initiatives of entities that maintained good relations with the Moy Family.
On November 28, 2015, a meeting was held to reactivate the federation founded by Patriarch Moy Yat and some of his key disciples. This culminated in the creation of the International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation Convention, which is composed of three bodies: the Moy Family, the Council of Grandmasters, and the Board of Directors. By providing access to Patriarch Moy Yat's legacy, the International Moy Yat Ving Tsun Federation is committed to respecting the customs of each location where it operates in different parts of the world. Another important stance is respect for the title systems of its affiliated organizations.
